Niko rides ahead of the Lantern Caravan on a low-slung sand strider, reading electrostatic patterns in the Neon Dunes like tracks in fresh snow. His weathered magenta scarf, patched goggles, and compact toolkit are recognizable at isolated trade posts from Iron Haven to the Glass Expanse. Easygoing until lives are at risk, he knows every safe well and honest mechanic on the route. The dunes have begun forming a road that appears only when he is alone.
