Edge & Snag
Edge rolls 2d20 and keeps the highest. Snag keeps the lowest. Both faces appear in the tray — the dropped die is struck through.
Skill die ladder
Pick the die your training grants (d2–d12). Untrained (d0) rolls the d20 alone.
Shift mechanics
Shifts move you along the track. Push past d12 into 2d8 and 3d6 pools, or past the ends into automatic results.
